Hocus Pocus 2 2022 Movie – Storyline:

Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world. The world may have been free of Winifred, Mary and Sarah and the fear they instilled in us all, but what happens when you mess with magic? It messes back up.

1653 In Salem, a young Winifred Sanderson is excommunicated from Salem by Reverend Trask after she defies church authority by refusing to marry John Pritchett. Rather than have her sisters, Mary and Sarah, taken from her, Winifred escapes with them to the nearby Forbidden Forest. There, they meet the Mother Witch who gifts Winifred with her magic book for her sixteenth birthday but expressly warns the sisters against casting a spell known as Magicae Maxima, which allows the user to Makes all powerful. The Mother Witch also teaches the sisters to kill other children in order to retain their youth.

In 2022, twenty-nine years after the Sanderson sisters were brought back to life by a black flame candle, (a) Salem teenagers Becca and Izzy prepare to celebrate Halloween and Becca’s sixteenth birthday but are interrupted by their estranged friend Casey Trask. Loved seeing the history behind the Sanderson sisters and explaining their background that started in 1653 Salem. I also really enjoyed the new cast, loved the new characters.
