Review of Marvel Studios’ Eternals (2021 Movie):

A completely different entry into the MCU but one that took me along for the ride. Working in a film based on 10 main characters is an impressive feat, it’s another to take care of each and every one of them. Chloe Zhao has already shown us her talent with smaller films, and it’s telling on an even larger MCU scale that she’s here to stay. It’s hard to say which is the best MCU movie of 2021 right now, but Eternals definitely left its mark on me. I had a blast.

Unfortunately, what follows is an amazing-looking, but really dull series of set-piece scenarios that combine mythology and melodrama, romance and action. The camera loves Madden, but as an actor – even in blue leather – he’s little better than a handsome man. Kamil Nanjiani (“Kingo”) has the charisma, but the rest of the cast, including Angelina Jolie (“Theena”) and Harish Patel (“Kuroon”) who intend to video everything, are at considerable risk. themselves, really offer little by way of characterization and the attempts at humor fall flat most of the time. The story has some major implications, but what? That’s what we expect from even the most modest of productions today. What was needed here were fewer actors and a much stronger story – and, yes, it probably wasted half an hour spent justifying the huge budget in far-flung locations (real and imagined). could There’s a final scene in the middle of the credits that doesn’t really bode well for a sequel either. I was really bored with this movie and although it is undoubtedly a colorful, action-packed big screen experience, it is a completely forgettable movie to watch.
