As a young boy, Mo Huck grew up as a shopper in the market. Although he is ignorant, he is strong-willed and knows how to make money. He is now the managing director of Dondan F&B, a global restaurant chain that was started by his family as a small Gamjatang diner. However, he is not dignified and only cares about money. He meets Da Li, the only daughter and child of an upper-class family. The family that runs the art gallery. He has deep knowledge of things. She faces bankruptcy due to the sudden death of her father and begins a difficult life. Mo Hak and Da Li begin a relationship as creditor and debtor at the art gallery. Will these two polar opposites understand and love each other?

Dolly and Cookie Prince Season 1 2021 (Hindi Dubbed) Korean Series Review:
The series follows the basic romantic comedy formula of “opposites attract”. Mo Hak (Kim Min Ja) is a confident and nouveau riche social climber, while Kim Da Lee (Park Gyu Young) was born into “old money” and is a naturally talented art exhibitor and critic. During a trip to an art exhibition in the Netherlands, Da Lee and Mo Hock first come face to face. Soon after, Da Lee finds herself struggling to keep her art gallery afloat and ends up indebted to Mohawk through several set-ups. However (typical of romantic clichés) Mo Hock and Da Lee begin to fall in love…
The biggest strength of ‘Dolly and the Cookie Prince’ comes from Kim Min-ja and Park Gee-young’s on-screen chemistry. At times the juxtaposition between Min Jae and Gyu Young’s somewhat more questionable line deliveries was dynamic and fun, but (playing to the drama’s strengths and degradation as a result of testing the audience’s attention span) slow.
So what’s left to say about ‘Dolly and the Cookie Prince’? Is it worth watching or is it an “overhyped” drama? The great thing to say about the rom-com is that the drama adjusts from light-hearted to more serious to suddenly light-hearted, and isn’t afraid to mix the cinematography more subtly with it. Our main leads had great chemistry and were surprisingly cute. To see the “polar opposite” trope executed once again. ‘Dolly and the Cookie Prince’ on the other hand is not an inherently original or brand new concept with tropes and clichés often undermining the more interesting story elements, characters and even the ending (to a certain extent). As a result of this screenwriting decision the drama isn’t entirely “original” and while the comedy may vary for viewers, the drama is definitely a decent and pretty sweet romcom.
