A short summary of the chicken:
Mocked by the animal inhabitants of the peaceful Oak Oaks community for his absurd notion that the sky is falling, the well-to-do young chicken, Chicken Little, promises to prove them all wrong. However, a year later, there’s still nothing on the horizon to justify Little’s fears, when, out of the blue, the disgraced boy finally stumbles upon a real piece of evidence. Are Chicken Little and his loyal band of outcasts on to something really big this time?
Chicken Little Review:
My son is four years old and I decided that his gift on the second day of Christmas would be his first trip to the movie theater. We scanned the list of now-playable titles and Chicken was pretty much the only option. Narnia or Cheaper by the Dozen, for example, are for much older children. I found Shreck boring (never had the patience to watch the whole movie on DVD). The same goes for Finding Nemo and every other movie I’ve tried watching it, unless it’s after a TV show. I was beginning to fear that we would be seeing nothing but Power Rangers forever. But Chicken Little did the trick. He saw it and liked it. In fact he had the time of his life. He laughed, he screamed, he jumped, he covered his eyes and screamed again, and then he laughed some more. I can’t say anything about me, because I was busy taking pictures of my baby watching his first movie. Focus on the screen, but my 4 year old rated this movie best. And I think her opinion is what matters, because the movie is for her, and not for other kids her age, not adults or teenagers. So please try to see it through the eyes of a small child, and you might enjoy it better.
