‘Peacemaker’ Season 1 Review
Peacemaker… When I was watching The Suicide Squad I remembered so many sparks of magic throughout the team. I realized that almost everyone had a purpose. Everyone had something to relate to. (Excluding the first team, of course) everyone had something behind them that I could think of as villains. Harley had relationship issues and the team helped her grow, Bloodsport had daughter and father issues, Polka Dotman had mother issues, Rat Catcher 2 also had issues and had clear goals that His story carried over to something I could relate to…. Then you have… The Peacemaker, a person whose background was ambiguous… especially when it was just a recurring line in which Amanda Waller compared her background to Bloodsport…. A man who wants world peace at all costs regardless of how many men women and children he has to kill to get it… what a mess that was…. Being one of the reasons why some of the main characters met their demise I wasn’t too fond of The Reconciler…. But hey that’s the thing, he’s a villain… so when the end credits scene played I’m sure I wasn’t the only one rooting for a certain person to be healed… but he’s a peacemaker nonetheless. was…. Regardless, we made it this far…. All that build up and universe gun has all lead up to a spin off TV show that no one asked for… and I have to say…. It is absolutely delightful. John Cena definitely shines in this role. In the first episode alone he has so much charisma and development that it actually helps to understand why someone could be as messed up as he is. Based on the first episode I’m very happy to say it was a joy ride.
